We’re very happy to announce we’re now in the process of returning to work in our factories and you’ll soon be able to book an appointment with us for sales and installation, once we’ve worked through our existing customer orders and enquiries.
It doesn’t need us to say that this has been a terribly unsettling period for every one of us, and whilst we’re as keen as mustard to get back, work through our order book at last and deal with our new and existing customers as efficiently as we can, it will take a while for us to adjust to our new and ever-changing environment. We have to achieve this with great care and responsibility. We will not rush blindly (pun intended) into a hurried return only to find that we suffer a second spike of the virus, that will arguably have an even more detrimental effect on our Nation’s health and wealth.
Our customers and co-workers are at the heart of our business, so we’ve made some important changes to the way we work to keep us all safe. We’ve outlined these changes below –
- Our staff will only come to work if they, and the rest of their household are free from Coronavirus symptoms.
- We’ll ask you on the day of your appointment to confirm that you and your household are also free from symptoms.
- We will observe strict social distancing measures throughout your appointment
- All our staff have safety clothing including gloves, masks and sanitizer for our peace of mind and protection, as well as yours
- We’re currently not taking cash or cheque payments, you can pay with your credit or debit card, or by Bank Transfer
- You can order samples of your favourite fabrics from us ahead of your appointment so you can discuss them with your advisor. We can also order more samples if something else catches your eye.
I‘m waiting for my blinds or shutters to be fitted, when will this be?
We’re busy contacting our customers to confirm the next steps. If you’ve not already heard from us, please be patient - we’re working with our many wholesalers and suppliers across the UK and beyond to ensure we have sufficient stock to complete our orders. We apologise for the delay, but please be assured we’re working through the changing circumstances as quickly as possible.
When will I be able to book an in-home appointment?
Please contact us by email, message us via Facebook or our website, and we’ll let you know as soon as we have availability.
How do I rearrange my appointment if I feel unwell?
If you feel unwell, or you or someone in your household has any symptoms of Coronavirus, we ask that you call us on 01255 422811 to rearrange your appointment. PLEASE INFORM US ASAP if this is the case – you must not let us in your home if you or any family member is suffering with any symptoms, or you are self-isolating!
What protective clothing will the advisor be wearing?
Our advisors will be wearing face masks and gloves and will also have hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes.
How will you ensure social distancing in my home?
We’ll stay at least 2 metres away during your in-home appointment, whilst we’re discussing the best solution for your windows, we can hold up appropriate samples and discuss from a safe distance. If the weather’s good then we can always discuss your needs in your garden.
Will I be able to browse the advisors sample books during the appointment?
We’ll bring a range of samples for you to choose from, and we can hold the samples up for you to take a look at. For a closer look, we’d ask that you wear gloves whilst you handle the fabrics. We’ll be able to order samples to be delivered to your home after your appointment.
Does it matter if I haven’t ordered/received my samples ahead of my appointment?
Don’t worry if your samples haven’t arrived or if you need a little help in selecting your products, we’ll bring the appropriate samples along to your appointment. You can view the books in your home and your advisor can hold up the samples for you to view at the window. We’ll also be able to order samples to be delivered to your home after your appointment.
Do I need to stay in the room whilst the advisor fits my new window dressings?
Please vacate the room whilst our installer fits your blinds or shutters, for everyone’s safety. Windows should be left open.
I’m self-isolating can I book a sales appointment. For the welfare of our colleagues, we will only be carrying out in-home appointments where we can safely do so. If you, or someone in your household is vulnerable or experiencing Coronavirus symptoms, you must contact us as soon as possible. If you’re ‘shielding’ or classed as vulnerable it’s really in all our interests to deal with your enquiry a different way – there’s always a solution so please contact us to discuss.
