Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to put an awning up?

This very much depends on the type of awning, the width, the projection and the location of the installation (ground floor/first floor etc). Always best to contact us to discuss your overall requirements.

Do I need planning permission to put up an awning?

Generally, awnings fitted to residential properties do not typically require planning permission, however when fitting to a commercial property it’s likely that you will need to seek planning permission as the awning might encroach on public areas.

Can you leave an awning out in the wind?

It’s not advisable to leave an awning out in the wind to avoid damage. When ordering an awning, you can spec a wind sensor which will automatically retract the awning if it detects wind at a level higher than it’s programmed parameters.
